Performance Introduction
One of the iconic figures of 1980s Japanese pop music, Momoko Kikuchi, will make her long-awaited Taipei debut in 2026 with the special performance “Peachful Days Extra.”
She made her acting debut in 1984 and rose to fame as a singer in the same year.
At just 17, she performed at the legendary Nippon Budokan, establishing herself as a top idol of her generation.
Her hit single “Graduation -GRADUATION-” reached No.1 on the Oricon Weekly Chart, followed by seven consecutive chart-topping releases.
Throughout her career, she has received numerous prestigious music awards, solidifying her status as a true 80s icon.
Many of her signature songs were composed by Tetsuji Hayashi, whose distinctive musical style set her apart in the idol scene of the era.
In recent years, the global resurgence of Japanese City Pop has brought renewed attention to her work.
“Blind Curve,” from the album OCEAN SIDE, was covered overseas and sparked widespread buzz.
Since her full catalog became available on streaming platforms in 2021, new generations of listeners have also been captivated by her soft and transparent vocals.
In 2024, she celebrated the 40th anniversary of her debut with a self-produced EP Eternal Harmony and the best-of compilation Eternal Best.
In 2025, she successfully completed her first overseas concerts in Shanghai and Beijing, continuing to shine with an ever-evolving and expressive presence on stage.
Now, in 2026, Momoko Kikuchi brings the enchanting world of “Peachful Days Extra” to Taipei—
