Performance Introduction

Formed in 2003, Skyline is one of the few fusion jazz bands in the Mandarin music scene — and the only one with over 20 years of continuous activity. Over the past two decades, the band has continuously expanded its musical horizons, blending jazz, pop, funk, rock, R&B, soul, Latin, electronic, classical, and world music with elements of Taiwanese local culture, crafting a distinctive sound that bridges genres and generations. With a spirit of constant innovation, Skyline continues to explore limitless possibilities in cross-genre music.

Skyline has received multiple international accolades, including the Best Live Performance Album at the 18th Independent Music Awards (U.S.), and Gold and Silver Medals in Performance, Band, and Fusion Jazz categories at the Global Music Awards (U.S.). The band has also been nominated for numerous prestigious honors, such as Best Instrumental Album Producer and Best Composer in Instrumental Category at the 33rd Golden Melody Awards, Best Instrumental Recording Album at the 30th Golden Melody Awards, Best Crossover Album at the 30th Traditional Golden Melody Awards, and Best Jazz Album and Best New Artist (Group) at the Golden Indie Music Awards.

Internationally, Skyline has represented Taiwan at major festivals including the Java Jazz Festival 2015 (one of the largest jazz festivals in the world), Jazz in July 2023 in Singapore, and the Cotai Jazz & Blues Festival 2014 in Macau, where they were selected among the world’s Top 12 bands. Their performances have spanned across Asia — Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau — bringing Taiwanese jazz to a global audience.

On December 14, 2025, Skyline will make their long-awaited Billboard Live TAIPEI debut, joined by acclaimed vocalists P.i.N (Fan Pin-Yi) and Gu Hao. The concert will feature songs from their latest album City Voices, along with festive jazz arrangements of Christmas classics — delivering an enchanting night that blends the sophistication of urban jazz with the warmth of the holiday spirit.
