Debuting at the age of 15 in a girl group, Vivian Hsu went to Japan in 1995 and rose to fame with the group Black Biscuits. Their hit single “Timing” sold over 2 million copies, and in 2023, it achieved over 2 billion views on TikTok in Japan. The group also appeared twice on NHK’s prestigious Kōhaku Uta Gassen.

In film and television, she was nominated for Best Actress at cross-strait film festivals for Mermaid Got Married and Cloud Atlas of Love. She also received a Taipei Film Award nomination for Best Actress in The Tag-Along: The Devil Fish, and as both producer and actress, she contributed to Little Big Women, which grossed nearly NT$200 million at the box office.
